Password Requirements
Secure Enclave Password Requirements
The Secure Enclave is a secure environment that requires the highest level of security and control. Due to this the password requirements in place by the University of California-San Diego require that users of the Enclave reset their password every 180 days.
If you lock out your account by entering your password incorrectly too many times, you will need to wait 15 minutes before you can try again.
You must logout of your session if you want to get notifications about your password expiring.
Notifications occur at 7 days prior to password expiring and will occur every day until you reset your password.
Disconnecting from your session is not best practice and you WILL NOT get a notification that your password is about to expire when you ONLY disconnect.
It requires a logon activity to give you that notification.
