How to transfer files from your computer to another Globus Endpoint Ensure you have access to the Globus Endpoint you want to transfer files with. In this tutorial, we will use a Globus Endpoint accessible to the public for testing. Install and configure the Globus Connect Personal on your computer if it is not already set up. This software allows your computer to act as a Globus endpoint. This guide covers the installation of the Globus Connect Personal, and an endpoint connected to an Alpine HPC account: Globus Transfers (between Alpine and Local machine) Once Globus Connect Personal is installed, start it, and log in. Navigate to the "File Manager" section. You can change the layout of the application by selecting one of the views from the top right corner. Select your computer endpoint on one side and the remote endpoint on the other. For example, you can connect to the public Globus Endpoint from ESNet by searching for the Endpoint "ESnet Read-Only Test DTN at Denver". For the second Endpoint, you may use another remote endpoint, or use the computer you installed the Globus Personal Connect application as an endpoint. Browse to the directory/file on either of the open endpoints. You can transfer files using drag-and-drop, or by using the file management options in the web user interface.
