Note
A team may not always be necessary. Often, a group chat may suffice. One scenario where a team may be necessary is when people outside of CSU need to be included.
It is important to note that a team and a group chat are not the same. Teams must be requested, have immutable names that begin with a departmental prefix, and owners who can add/remove members. Group chats can be created by anyone, members can be added/removed by any member of the group chat, and can be named anything.
It is also important to note that at this time, group chats do not support the addition of members outside of CSU, but teams do.
Teams:
- All teams that you are a member of will show up under Teams, and different channels of each team will show up underneath the team
- You must be invited to a Team by an owner of the Team
To Request Creation of a Team:
- If you would like a Team created, email the VPR RESEARCH Help Desk, please specify the name of the Team including the mandatory departmental prefix (VPR, OSP, RICRO, LAR, etc.), and a single Team Owner. That owner can add Members and other Owners as needed.
- Team names should be kept short and concise. Some longer names will not fit within the character limit.
