Create a Teams Meeting:
Directly from Outlook: Use the New Teams Meeting icon. This will create the link in the
Outlook invitation and set the location as Teams:
Note
This example is when you are NOT using
a conference room, i.e., all invited will use the Teams app to
join.

Use the ‘Required’ and ‘Optional’ fields to invite other people to the Teams app meeting.
Schedule a Meeting in a Conference Room with a Teams Meeting Capability:
Using the Required/Optional invitees: For a meeting already (or to be scheduled) in a
conference room, add the room’s Teams entity information to the Outlook meeting invitation attendees list:

This will allow the room to host or participate in a meeting using the room’s Teams app, and will use the room’s audio and camera for the meeting.

Adding the room’s Teams entity to a meeting IS NOT THE SAME AS RESERVING THE ROOM
The room still must be booked using the ‘Add Rooms’ button in the Scheduling Assistant section to get it on that room’s calendar.
Join a Teams Meeting:
-
When the organizer has added a Teams option to a meeting, the invitees’ Teams app ‘Calendar’ section will offer a ‘join’
button.
-
From an outlook Teams Meeting invite, use the link in the meeting invitation:
