Occasionally, Outlook's configuration/data files become corrupt and the Outlook profile needs to be reset. If you can avoid having to follow these steps, do so (As a general rule, don't do this unless we recommended it.) Otherwise, here's the steps to follow.
Warnings
-
You won't lose any emails, contacts, or calendar events.
-
Any visual customization you had before will be lost.
-
After Outlook opens, you will have to wait for some amount of time as emails/calendar events/contacts synchronize. In that time, some content will be missing.
-
Signatures will be unset (but not deleted), so you will have to configure them again (File > Options > Mail > Signatures > Choose default signature > Set
New messages and
Replies/forwards accordingly).
-
Additional mailboxes will be removed requiring that they be re-added. See
this article.
How To
Close all Outlook windows.
Open the mail settings from settings

In the windows that pops up, select Show Profiles…

Select Add…, and then name the profile whatever you want,
MyProfile for example. Finally, click OK.

In the new window, select Next >. It will connect to your email account.
Select Finish when it’s done.
Now at the bottom, you should be able to select the drop down and choose your new profile.

Select OK to apply the changes. The next time you open Outlook it will use a fresh copy of your email profile (i.e., the one that was just created.)
