Create digital signature in Adobe DC
NOTE: if you want a picture of your signature as part of your digital signature, you have to create the image file first.

Sign a scrap piece of paper (full size).

Scan as photo.

Open file (it will be a PDF)

Use snip tool to select only the signature.

Save as .jpg or .png file and remember where you saved it.
Create the signature:
From the Edit menu (top horizontal menu) > Preferences >
Signatures:

Creation & Appearance > More, then click 'New':

Configure the appearance:
Configure graphic: This is where you will choose your signature image, if you want it to be part of the signature:

Choose ‘Imported Graphic’

Browse, find location, choose the file, click ‘open’

If you see a checkbox for 'Use modern user interface...', you can leave it checked.
Identities & Trusted Certificates > More:

Click 'Add ID' icon:

Choose 'A new digital ID':

Choose Windows Certificate Store:

Be sure to pick 2048-bit for the Key Algorithm!

Then add Usage Options (only works if you choose the Windows certificate)
