For this guide, we use the example share \\csunts.acns.colostate.edu\vpr_share. Your departments share is not the same, email us if you need your share path.
Note: Almost all CSU shares require you to be on campus or using the Global Protect VPN.
From Windows
Quick Access
You may be able to access the share directly by copying the path into your file browser:

It may ask for credentials. If it does, use the following credentials.
User Name: colostate\NetID
Password: NetID password
If the above doesn't work, you need to mount the network drive. See Mounting the Network Drive.
Mounting the Network Drive
- Open File Explorer
- On the left, right-click This PC
- Click Map network drive... from the drop down

- Select the desired drive letter (can be anything unless given to you)
- Paste the link in the Folder:field (note there are backslashes as opposed to forward slashes).
- If you want to keep this drive mapped every time you log in, check Reconnect at sign-in
- If you log into your computer with your NetID credentials, the above didn't work, or you're not sure, check Connect using different credentials
- Click Finish, and if prompted, use the following credentials:
User Name: colostate\NetID
Password: NetID password
You should be able to access the share from the drive letter you specified.
From Mac
- Open Finder
- Click Go from the top menu
- Click Connect to Server
- Under Server Address type smb://csunts.acns.colostate.edu/vpr_share (note the forward slashes as opposed to backslashes, and note the smb:prefix).
- Click + to add it to your Favorite Servers
- Double click on the share address under Favorite Servers
- It may ask for credentials. If it does, use the following credentials.
User Name: colostate\NetID
Password: NetID password
- Click Connect and it should open H drive
